The Roman Theater

This one of the one of most attractive monuments which dates back to the Ptolemaic times
It s condition is very well preserved

The Description Of the Theater
It consistes from therten semi curcilar tires from white marble which imported from Europe.cncerning the columns of this great theater they are from green marble that was imported from Asia Minor and finally you can see the reed granite that was used also in the columns which taken from Aswan the modern Egyptian governrat


      The marble staries of this theater are for up to 800 spectators
In this theater you can see the geometric mosaic pavingin the decoration of The wings on either side of the theater


Here there is also aver beautiful  mosaic flooring




The Uses Of The Roman During  Different Times

Firstly during the Ptolemic period it was used as apark of pan
secondly during the Roman period it was used  oden for musical performances and some times it was used for wrestling contests

In addition to this impressive stage you can find many others buildings such as the remains of abrick roman baths and also remains of Roman houses
